Key Qualifications:

• Certified School Social Worker (SSW) through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE)
• Proven experience providing social work services in a K-12 or educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for navigating diverse stakeholder groups
• Ability to assess student needs, create effective intervention plans, and provide crisis management
• Familiarity with local and state education requirements and protocols

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to students, including counseling and case management
• Conduct assessments to identify barriers to learning and recommend appropriate supports
• Partner with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies
• Facilitate referrals to community resources, mental health agencies, and support services as needed
• Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with confidentiality standards
