A full-time contract role is available for credentialed Social Workers looking to make a meaningful impact from August 2026 through June 4, 2027. This onsite position focuses on serving K-12 students in the Ypsilanti area, collaborating with educators and families to empower students and address their social, emotional, and academic needs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work is required
  • Active SSW-310 Authorization for School Social Work or current MDE School Social Worker Credential
  • Demonstrated experience working with student populations in K-12 educational settings
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention, assessments, and ongoing counseling services
  • Commitment to culturally responsive and equitable practices
  • Must be present onsite for all required hours

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and provide individualized interventions
  • Develop and implement support plans targeting social, emotional, and behavioral growth
  • Serve as an advocate for students and families, linking them to community resources
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other professionals in multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in IEP planning and meetings as necessary
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation in compliance with state and district policies
  • Foster positive school climates and promote inclusivity
