This opportunity is well-suited for compassionate professionals ready to empower students while collaborating with a supportive team. Work three days per week on a consistent, flexible schedule that you design (within 7:40 am – 2:40 pm hours), and enjoy the guidance of an experienced, full-time Social Worker on-site. The assignment spans the upcoming academic year, from August 24, 2025, through June 9, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Current authorization as a School Social Worker (SSW) in Michigan
• Must hold a 310 or preliminary approval to practice as an SSW
• Experience working in schools or with youth in educational settings preferred
• Comfortable and skilled in supporting students with a variety of behavioral needs, including occasional aggressive behaviors
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

What You’ll Do:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to middle school students
• Manage a traditional caseload while addressing the needs of students who may demonstrate challenging behaviors
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, the full-time social worker, and families to develop and implement individualized strategies for student success
• Maintain consistent and professional communication, documentation, and reporting for all assigned cases
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment that promotes student well-being and resilience
