Openings include:

• “Core” classroom teacher (co-teaching/inclusion, direct academic instruction, and/or supplemental pull-out support as part of a team)
• Resource/Academic Seminar focused role
• Transition Teacher: Lead job placement coordination and direct instruction, with IEP responsibilities
• 5K Transition Teacher: Facilitate a self-contained classroom for 5K students with disabilities (assisted by two aides) and support their integration into general education settings
• Self-contained classroom teacher for grades 6-8, working with moderate disabilities and the support of two assistants

Desired Background:

• Valid certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience with classroom management and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration skills for working with co-teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists
• Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs and work with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of inclusive practices, transition planning, and individualized interventions

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Provide direct teaching, co-teaching, and pull-out services as assigned
• Collaborate to create and monitor IEPs and student goals
• Support student transition activities and facilitate job-related instruction where applicable
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment
