Special Education Teacher - Abernathy, TX

What you bring:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification (Texas or eligible for reciprocity)
• Prior experience in a Resource or Inclusion classroom highly valued
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families

• Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to classroom needs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Key responsibilities:

• Design and implement instructional strategies tailored to diverse learner needs within the classroom
• Provide direct and indirect support to students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student success
• Participate in developing and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Track and document academic and behavioral progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Contribute to ongoing dialogue with parents, caregivers, and team members to ensure comprehensive support for each student
