Position Details:

• School Year: 2026-2027
• Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
• Paraprofessional Support: provided in each classroom
• OPENINGS:
  - 2 Elementary Inclusion Teachers: Grades K-5
  - 1 Elementary Self-Contained Teacher: Grades K-5
  - 1 Middle School Inclusion Teacher: Grades 6-8

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with students' IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings and school-based professional development

Required Qualifications:

• Active VA Special Education Teaching License
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education staff, families, and support personnel
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in an inclusion and/or self-contained classroom
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Passion for creating an inclusive, student-centered learning environment
