This contract position offers a full-time opportunity to support students in substantially separate classrooms within the K-1st grade and 3rd-5th grade levels. You’ll work with learners who have significant cognitive and physical disabilities – some are non-verbal, some are on the spectrum, and many will require support with daily needs, including toileting. There will also be RBT support in some cases.

This position is located near Adams, MA and is onsite only, making it ideal for traveling professionals who are eager to bring their specialized skills to a dedicated and supportive school environment.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher credentials
  • Experience working with students with severe disabilities, both cognitive and physical
  • Familiarity with substantially separate classroom settings
  • Comfortable providing toileting assistance and personal care as needed
  • Preferred experience with specially designed instruction and applied behavior analysis
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with RBT staff, paraprofessionals, and other support providers
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and structured learning space
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP and unique needs
  • Develop and adapt educational materials for a range of learning abilities
  • Implement and modify ABA strategies as appropriate
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure student progress
  • Maintain thorough documentation and assist with program planning
  • Foster a supportive, positive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
