Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with a 461 Special Education endorsement
- Experience in self-contained special education classrooms preferred
- Strong classroom management, collaboration, and communication capabilities
- Deep commitment to fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of middle school learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students in a self-contained classroom setting, utilizing differentiated teaching strategies
- Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate regularly with families, school staff, and interdisciplinary teams to advocate for and support student progress
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment that encourages growth and independence
- Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and document progress toward IEP goals
- Contribute to a culture that prioritizes student achievement, inclusivity, and well-being
