Step into a rewarding contract role where your skills as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher can make a significant difference during a vital maternity leave coverage. This hybrid position supports schools in the Agate, CO, area for a set period from August 3 to November 30, covering 65 days across Kiowa, Bennett, and Byers. You’ll work four days a week, Monday through Thursday, totaling 32 hours weekly. While documentation and IEP meetings are completed remotely, your presence on site will be essential for services and assessments.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current licensure in Special Education (ECSE or equivalent)
- Experience providing services for early childhood students
- Excellent communication skills and comfort with both in-person and virtual responsibilities
- Strong understanding of IEP development and special education paperwork
- Ability to travel to different school sites within the service area
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized support for early childhood students as outlined in their IEPs
- Collaborate with general education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized education programs
- Complete all paperwork, documentation, and participate in IEP meetings (remote format available)
- Conduct evaluations and assessments in person as needed
- Communicate effectively with families and school personnel to ensure students’ needs are met
