Remote Intervention Specialist Position Available - Akron, Ohio

We maintain an active pipeline of intervention specialist positions serving students across multiple grade levels. Our remote model allows educators to make meaningful impacts on students' lives while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

This position typically involves 36-37.5 hours weekly, supporting a caseload of approximately 50-60 students in grades 3-8. You'll provide specialized instruction across various disability categories, including specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, other health impairments, and emotional/behavioral disorders! Students need support in reading comprehension, mathematics, writing skills, organizational strategies, and executive functioning development.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: You'll be responsible for developing comprehensive IEPs that address individual student goals—delivering direct instruction through engaging virtual lessons—monitoring and documenting student progress using data-driven approaches—collaborating with general education teachers to ensure accommodations are implemented—conducting virtual parent conferences and team meetings—creating accessible learning materials appropriate for diverse learners—managing your virtual classroom environment effectively.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE: Current Ohio Intervention Specialist license / Master's degree in Special Education or closely related discipline / At least 2 years of experience in school settings / Demonstrated ability to work with students with diverse learning needs / Proficiency with technology platforms used in virtual education / Strong communication skills for remote collaboration with families and colleagues.

You should have a dedicated home office space with reliable high-speed internet access, a computer with webcam and microphone, and the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues independently!
