Qualifications:

• Valid Alabama Special Education Licensure (grades 6-12 or K-12 certification accepted)
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
• Experience managing a diverse middle school caseload is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, working effectively with students, families, and staff
• Adaptability and problem-solving abilities to meet individual learning needs
• Proactive, organized, and committed to fostering an inclusive classroom environment

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs for students in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Design differentiated instructional plans to support varied learning styles and abilities
• Monitor, assess, and report student progress regularly
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place
• Engage with parents and caregivers to provide updates and promote student achievement
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and compliance with all special education policies
• Participate in meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events
