Special Education Teacher - Albion, MI

Qualifications:

• Current and active Michigan Special Education teaching license (must provide verification screenshot)
• Specialization or experience working with high school students on the autism spectrum preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Ability to design and adapt individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Compassionate and flexible approach to engaging with students, families, and staff

Role Expectations:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction in a high school ASD classroom environment
• Develop and implement IEPs, monitoring student progress and making adjustments as needed in collaboration with fellow educators and allied professionals
• Foster a supportive and structured classroom environment to enhance learning, social skills, and independence for students
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory and district standards
• Communicate proactively with families, support staff, and administration to ensure student success
