You’ll play a vital role in shaping individualized education plans and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active Michigan Special Education teaching license
• Experience in high school settings preferred
• Background and skill in working with students with cognitive impairments
• Familiarity with IEPs, instructional best practices, and behavioral strategies
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction per Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess student strengths and needs to inform lesson planning
• Foster a supportive environment for academic, social, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
• Communicate progress and areas of need to families and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and district requirements
