There are two full-time positions available serving diverse students in both resource (grades 2 and 3) and self-contained (K-2) classroom settings. These contract opportunities provide valuable classroom experience while supporting exceptional students from now through late May.
What You Bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience or strong interest in working in resource and self-contained classroom environments
- Familiarity with creating and implementing IEPs
- Dedication to individualized, student-centered instruction
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families
- Creativity, flexibility, and a nurturing approach to meet students’ unique needs
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tailored lesson plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and structured classroom culture
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Work closely with general education teachers and intervention teams
- Engage families in student learning and progress through regular communication
- Support positive behavioral interventions that help students succeed
- Cultivate a positive, encouraging learning environment for all learners
