Special Education Teacher in Allentown, PA

A full-semester opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide dedicated support in a preschool special education classroom within a K-12 setting. This role requires a passionate educator skilled in adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of young learners, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.

Location: Allentown, PA (Preschool Special Education Classroom)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction tailored to preschool students with special needs.
• Develop, implement, and modify educational plans to accommodate each student’s unique learning requirements.
• Collaborate with support staff and families to promote student progress and well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
• Manage classroom activities during the two daily instructional sessions: morning (8:00-10:30 AM) and afternoon (12:20-2:50 PM).
• Adhere to school policies, schedules, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with preschool-aged children, particularly in special education settings.
• Ability to create a structured and nurturing learning environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation.

Work Schedule:

• Full semester position.
• Classroom hours from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, including two student sessions daily.
