Special Education Teacher - Allentown, PA

A rewarding opportunity awaits for an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to support a preschool classroom during an upcoming leave. This position serves young learners, helping them build a strong educational foundation through compassionate, individualized instruction. Morning and afternoon sessions create a dynamic and lively learning atmosphere, allowing for meaningful engagement with students and staff alike. The daily schedule runs from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with core teaching responsibilities from 8:00 to 10:30 AM and 12:20 to 2:50 PM.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education (or eligible for certification)
• Previous experience working with preschool-age children and diverse learning needs
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans for varied abilities
• Strong collaborative and communication skills for working with support staff and families
• Patience, creativity, and a nurturing disposition

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth
• Conduct both morning and afternoon classroom sessions for a small group setting
• Track student progress and maintain necessary records
• Collaborate with aides, therapists, and other specialists in the classroom
• Engage with families to support student learning and development
