Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold an active Pennsylvania teaching license.
- Possess PA PDE Certification (Experience-Based Certificate in Special Education PK-12, Instructional I, or Instructional II in the appropriate Special Education areas).
- Demonstrated record of service in special education environments.
- Skilled at participating in IEP development and implementation.
- Ability to commute to locations within Carbon or Lehigh County.
- Must be able to provide verification of active Pennsylvania licensure and PDE certification via TIMS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for special education classrooms across a defined geographic area in Carbon or Lehigh Counties.
- Step in during short-term absences or be assigned to classrooms as a floating resource.
- Take on longer assignments as needed to cover extended leaves or vacations.
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related services to implement IEPs effectively.
- Support continuity of instruction and maintain classroom routines for diverse learners.
