Special Education Teacher | Allentown, Pennsylvania

This contract opportunity is perfect for dedicated Special Education Teachers excited to collaborate within a team-oriented environment and skilled in adapting to various classroom needs.

Assignments begin August 10, 2026, and extend through June 11, 2027, with placements across multiple programs, including Autism Support, Multiple Disabilities Support, and Emotional Support. A school-day schedule (typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM) offers consistency while working closely with students needing significant academic, behavioral, and communication supports.

What’s Needed:

• Pennsylvania Special Education certification (preferred or required depending on assignment)
• Background in special education classroom teaching
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs, and adjust instruction as needed
• Confident classroom management skills
• Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Willingness to commute within 35 minutes of assigned site(s)

Preferred Experience:

• Autism programming (ABA strategies, visual/aided communication, BIPs, sensory regulation)
• Multiple and significant disabilities support (adapted curriculum, life skills coaching, personal care)
• Emotional/behavioral support (de-escalation, trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation)
• Background in specialized schools or Intermediate Unit settings

• Carbon County Enhanced Autism Program
• Lehigh Valley area Multiple Disabilities classrooms
• Emotional Support settings in Southern Lehigh County
• Elementary Multiple Disabilities support
