Special Education Teacher - Allentown, Pennsylvania

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate covering Special Education for middle school
• Experience working with middle school-aged children on the autism spectrum
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
• Ability to create inclusive lesson plans and differentiate instruction to meet varied needs
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction for a small group of middle school students, focusing on individual goals and developmental needs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, specialists, and families to develop and implement IEPs
• Track progress, maintain accurate records, and adapt strategies as needed
• Inspire, motivate, and guide students to achieve their personal best
• Maintain a structured and nurturing classroom that promotes independence and growth

Position Details:

• Contract assignment running ASAP through June 10, 2027
• Full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15am to 2:45pm (35 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
• Class size: 8 students, ensuring meaningful connections and individualized instruction
