Licensed Elementary Special Education Teacher in Almond, NC

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Certification to teach in elementary (K-5) settings

• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive, patient approach to classroom management
• Ability to work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Administer, track, and report on student progress and achievement in accordance with IEP goals
• Collaborate with educational staff to adapt curriculum and instructional methods
• Foster an inclusive classroom culture that respects and celebrates diversity
• Provide small group and one-on-one instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and communication with parents/guardians
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, team meetings, and professional development sessions
