Special Education Teacher - Amado, Arizona

Make a meaningful impact supporting young learners as a full-time Special Education Teacher in a contract role with a K-5 self-contained classroom. You’ll be working alongside a dedicated support team, including five paraprofessionals, to create a nurturing, structured, and engaging environment for approximately twelve students. Qualifications and Experience:

• Active teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a K-5 setting
• Strong understanding of diverse learning needs and IEP implementation
• Skilled in classroom management, collaborative team approaches, and differentiated instruction
• Compassionate, patient, and creative in supporting student growth
• Excellent communication skills for working closely with staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture with the support of five paraprofessionals
• Track student progress and adapt instructional strategies as needed
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support
