Special Ed Teacher - Anaheim, California

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state certification in Special Education
• Prior experience teaching students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and specialized instructional strategies
• Ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Outstanding communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Provide direct instruction and support for students with moderate to severe disabilities
• Serve as case manager: coordinate and lead IEP meetings, track progress, and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive support
• Create an inclusive and safe classroom environment that fosters student growth and independence
• Encourage and facilitate positive social, emotional, and academic outcomes for all students
