The full-time position spans 35 hours per week and runs from now until December 18, 2026.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and active Indiana teaching license required (screenshot proof necessary upon application)
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher or in a related capacity strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of best practices for supporting students with mild disabilities in a middle school setting
  • Ability to adapt lessons and instructional strategies to individual student needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction to small groups or individual students in a self-contained classroom environment
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods or supports, as needed, to promote academic and behavioral growth
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student engagement and independence
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student developments and progress
  • Collaborate with school teams and related service providers to meet student and school goals
