Special Ed Teacher | Anderson, South Carolina

Two Special Education Teachers are needed for a full-time contract position at a high school in Greenville, SC. These roles focus on Employability Classes for students in grades 9 through 12, providing a dynamic opportunity to support students' academic and social success. Each teacher will work with a classroom aide and have a dedicated planning period within the school day, which runs from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to special education students in Employability Classes
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet individual student needs
• Supervise students to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
• Accurately enter grades and maintain detailed student records
• Maintain compliance with special education regulations by writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and conducting IEP meetings
• Collaborate with support staff and colleagues to enhance student outcomes

Qualifications:

• SC Educator Certification with a Multi-categorical or Intellectual Disabilities (ID) endorsement or specialty
• Experience working with high school students in a special education setting preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Location: Greenville, SC (Southside High School)
Duration: Contract through May 22nd, 2025
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
