Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

A contract position is available for an onsite Special Education Teacher focused exclusively on Setting 4 students, serving children with the highest behavioral challenges and most severe disabilities. This role is located in Coon Rapids, MN, within a reputable learning center that prioritizes specialized education and support. The position runs from February 9, 2026, through June 5, 2026, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, specialized instruction and support to students with severe disabilities and behavioral needs in a Setting 4 environment.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and support staff, to ensure comprehensive student care.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behaviors, and interventions.
• Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with Tier 3 or Tier 4 certification, specific to Special Education.
• Experience working with students who have significant behavioral challenges and severe disabilities.
• Comfortable and confident managing a Setting 4 classroom environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to Coon Rapids, MN.
