This full-time contract position spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact while working with a manageable caseload of approximately 6-10 students. The assignment is based at a single site in the Andover, MN area, ensuring stability and a consistent working environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license with ASD or DCD endorsement (Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
- Previous experience working with students who have DCD or ASD, especially in a Setting 3 classroom, is highly valued
- Strong collaborative skills for working effectively with students, support staff, and families
- Ability to create individualized lesson plans and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs
- Excellent classroom management and organizational abilities
Role Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Develop supportive routines and implement positive behavior strategies
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with families and related service providers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
Position Details:
- Contract runs from August 31, 2026, to June 4, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week
