Step into a vital role where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher can make a significant difference in the lives of young students. This opportunity offers you the chance to lead a center-based classroom focused on Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD) for a small group of K–2 students. You’ll work in a collaborative, high-support environment dedicated to student growth and positive behavioral interventions, all within a full-time, weekday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

In this contract role, you will:

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold an active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License.
  • Possess EBD licensure (strongly preferred).
  • Have experience supporting students with significant behavioral needs, particularly in a Level 3 behavioral setting.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and BIPs.
  • Be skilled in effective behavior intervention, de-escalation, and classroom consultation.
  • Excel in communication and teamwork with support staff and specialists.

Preferred Experience:

  • Background working in a K–2 center-based special education classroom.
  • Familiarity with PBIS, CPI, or restorative practices.
  • Training in trauma-informed instructional approaches.

  • Delivering specialized instruction and behavioral support within a high-needs classroom.
  • Providing leadership in developing individualized plans for student success.
  • Collaborating closely with behavior specialists and related services teams.
