Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License.
- Specialized licensure in ASD, DCD, ABS, or cross-categorical SPED is strongly favored.
- Experience supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in writing IEPs, collecting progress data, and delivering targeted interventions.
- Skilled in providing consistent behavioral supports and implementing effective classroom structure.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with related service teams and families.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in center-based autism or DCD classrooms.
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
- Experience with sensory regulation strategies and functional skills instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a high-needs elementary classroom with approximately six students.
- Design and execute individualized academic, behavioral, and functional support plans.
- Track and report student progress using thorough data collection and documentation.
- Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment with paraprofessional support.
- Communicate regularly with families to promote student success and engagement.
