Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License.
  • Specialized licensure in ASD, DCD, ABS, or cross-categorical SPED is strongly favored.
  • Experience supporting students with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Proficiency in writing IEPs, collecting progress data, and delivering targeted interventions.
  • Skilled in providing consistent behavioral supports and implementing effective classroom structure.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with related service teams and families.

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous work in center-based autism or DCD classrooms.
  • Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices.
  • Experience with sensory regulation strategies and functional skills instruction.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a high-needs elementary classroom with approximately six students.
  • Design and execute individualized academic, behavioral, and functional support plans.
  • Track and report student progress using thorough data collection and documentation.
  • Develop and implement IEPs in partnership with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative environment with paraprofessional support.
  • Communicate regularly with families to promote student success and engagement.
