Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or 4 required) in Special Education—be prepared to submit your license and resume for consideration
- Experience working with students in kindergarten through fifth grade, particularly those with emotional and behavioral needs
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
- A passion for helping students succeed academically, emotionally, and socially
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues
What You’ll Do:
- Provide instruction and support to students with emotional behavior disorders in a center-based classroom setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs and strengths
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and school staff to deliver cohesive academic and behavioral interventions
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records to monitor outcomes and adjust strategies
- Create a safe, nurturing environment that encourages engagement, emotional growth, and confidence
