Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Demonstrated success as a Special Education Teacher in elementary resource settings
• Ability to design and deliver individualized instruction and accommodations
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Adept in implementing IEPs and progress monitoring

Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt lessons for students with diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion practices
• Conduct assessments and maintain documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Foster a positive, supportive, and high-expectation classroom environment
• Engage in ongoing professional development as required
• Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams
