Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience in an elementary resource setting highly valued
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to create an inclusive, supportive instructional environment
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop and maintain compliant IEPs, monitor student progress, and adjust instruction as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to support student success
  • Advocate for students and partner with families to create positive outcomes
  • Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster student independence and growth
  • Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and participate in meetings
