Key Qualifications:

  • Must hold a current Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
  • Experience teaching children with developmental and cognitive delays preferred
  • Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and specialists
  • Commitment to supporting students’ growth academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude and adaptability

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and classroom support for elementary students in a DCD Centerbase program
  • Develop and execute IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
  • Foster a safe, structured, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals, general education teachers, therapists, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
  • Participate in IEP meetings and parent-teacher conferences
  • Employ evidence-based practices and materials to support student learning and independence

This contract runs from late August through early June and offers a consistent Monday-Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week). You’ll have the rewarding chance to help shape young lives while advancing your own skills in a dynamic school community.
