Openings are available for Assessment roles, Setting III/IV Restore Program teachers at the high school level, and ASD Center-Based positions within elementary settings. Each role focuses on comprehensive student support, individualized instruction, and strong team collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Deliver targeted special education instruction based on established student goals
- Conduct evaluations and progress monitoring, maintaining detailed, compliant documentation
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, related services professionals, administrators, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility determinations, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral interventions and classroom management strategies
- Ensure adherence to IDEA, state licensure requirements, and district policies
- Create welcoming, inclusive classrooms that help every student reach their full potential
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid (or eligible for) Minnesota Special Education teaching license
- Experience developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
- Thorough understanding of IDEA and Minnesota special education rules
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders
Preferred Experience:
- Previous roles in ASD, assessment, self-contained or resource/classroom settings
- Background with PBIS, MTSS, Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
- Knowledge of both elementary and secondary student populations
- Skill in behavior management and implementing crisis interventions
