Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

Exciting opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education professionals with dual certifications in both Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education. If you have a passion for supporting students across developmental stages, you’ll find this contract assignment both rewarding and inspiring. Starting September 2, 2026, and continuing through June 4, 2027, these onsite positions will have you serve 37.5 hours per week within a vibrant school environment near Andover, MN.

Two openings are available:

• The first involves working at an elementary school, splitting your time between early childhood and K–5 resource support.
• The second mirrors this structure at a different elementary campus.

You’ll collaborate closely with students and staff to ensure optimal learning and developmental outcomes across both early childhood and elementary settings.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Early Childhood Special Education and Elementary Special Education (license must be submitted as a PDF with your application)
• Previous experience in a school-based special education role strongly preferred
• Strong ability to adapt instruction to diverse learners’ needs
• Excellent communication skills to partner with families, students, and multidisciplinary teams
• Capable of managing and organizing individualized education programs (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, individualized instruction to students aged early childhood through grade 5
• Create and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
• Collaborate effectively with general education staff and parents
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment
