Exciting opportunities await dedicated professionals passionate about making a difference in students’ lives. This contract position offers seven dynamic roles within elementary school settings for the 2026-2027 academic year, each tailored to specialized student needs. With a start date in early September and an end date in mid-June, you will be working 37.5 hours per week helping transform the classroom environment for learners in need of specialized instruction.

Multiple caseloads are available across Center-Based ASD/DCD and SEL classrooms, as well as Resource placements. Candidates must hold specific SPED endorsements to qualify for these roles. The locations include Birch Grove, Rice Lake, Zanewood, Cedar Island, Fair Oaks, and Basswood Elementary, supporting a variety of students and collaborating with outstanding educational teams.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a Minnesota Tier 3 or 4 Special Education license in at least one of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD), or Academic Behavior Strategist (ABS)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience as a special education teacher (general education, paraprofessional, or substitute teaching roles do not meet this requirement)
  • Proven ability to support and advocate for students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality, individualized instruction that meets IEP goals
  • Managing case files, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Working closely with general education staff, support professionals, and families
  • Creating positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environments
