Special Education Teacher - Andover, MN

Qualifications & Experience

• Current Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education licensure in Minnesota (ASD, DCD, EBD, or ABS)
• At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education teacher (paraprofessional, substitute, or general ed roles do not meet this requirement)
• Specific roles require endorsements in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Development Cognitive Disorder (DCD), Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), or Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) as specified
• Passion for fostering an inclusive learning environment and tailoring instruction to individual student needs

Role Highlights

• Serve in Center Based ASD/DCD classrooms (2.0 Birch Grove, 1.0 Rice Lake, 1.0 Zanewood) as a licensed ASD or DCD educator
• Teach Center Based SEL at Cedar Island Elementary with EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsements
• Guide Resource classrooms at Fair Oaks (1.0), Birch Grove (0.5), and Basswood (0.5) Elementary with any of the accepted endorsements
• Collaborate with fellow SPED professionals, support staff, and families
• Track and report student progress, attend IEP meetings, and ensure compliance
