Make an impact as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-Based Special Education Teacher in a collaborative, innovative elementary environment. This contract opportunity is available at a vibrant K-5 specialty school known for its focus on mathematics, science, and children’s engineering. As an EBD Teacher, you will support students in a dedicated center-based classroom, working closely with talented educators to foster an engaging learning experience.

This full-time position follows a standard weekday schedule, offering the unique chance to inspire and elevate students through evidence-based practices and inclusive teaching strategies. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the social, emotional, and academic success of your students within an environment that values hands-on discovery and collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required); certification and resume must be provided for consideration
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with EBD caseloads
  • Deep understanding of IEP planning, implementation, and data-driven instruction
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Passion for differentiated instruction and an innovative approach to student engagement

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide center-based specialized instruction for students with emotional and behavioral disorders
  • Develop and implement IEPs aligned with best practices and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to promote student growth
  • Foster a supportive classroom climate focused on safety, respect, and academic achievement
  • Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and meet student needs
