Special Education Teacher in Andover, MN

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience working with elementary ABS caseloads preferred
• Strong skills in individualized instruction, classroom management, and communication
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students with varying needs within the elementary ABS caseload
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum materials and instructional techniques to meet the individual needs of each student
• Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement and well-being
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate

Position Details:

• Part-time, contract role (approx. 18 hours per week, 0.5 FTE)
• Monday through Friday schedule during school days
• Set within a supportive and student-focused elementary school community
• Located near Andover, MN
