Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working with elementary ABS caseloads preferred
- Strong skills in individualized instruction, classroom management, and communication
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students with varying needs within the elementary ABS caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional techniques to meet the individual needs of each student
- Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student achievement and well-being
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom climate
Position Details:
- Part-time, contract role (approx. 18 hours per week, 0.5 FTE)
- Monday through Friday schedule during school days
- Set within a supportive and student-focused elementary school community
- Located near Andover, MN
