Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

This full-time contract role involves working with a Setting 4 caseload, focusing on learners who require the highest level of behavioral and instructional support. The position spans elementary through high school levels, providing vital educational services in a collaborative and resource-rich setting.

Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (Tier 3 or Tier 4 only)
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with students with significant behavioral and developmental challenges
• Ability to build rapport, adapt instruction, and use effective de-escalation strategies
• Solid classroom management and strong communication skills
• Background in multisensory teaching and behavior intervention preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and academic support for students in a Setting 4 program
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student goals and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with paraeducators, support staff, and related service providers
• Maintain documentation, track student progress, and participate in IEP and team meetings
• Employ data-driven strategies for behavior management and academic growth
• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for students with severe needs

This opportunity runs from August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027, at a well-supported learning facility. Work regular hours Monday through Friday, engaging with a diverse and dedicated staff and helping shape outcomes for students requiring the highest level of support.
