Make a direct impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities working in elementary school settings focused on fostering student growth and success. Assignments available include DAPE (Developmental Adapted Physical Education) and resource or center-based Special Education roles, supporting a range of student needs. Positions begin September 8, 2026, and continue to June 10, 2027, with a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Special Education (roles such as general education teacher, paraprofessional, or substitute do not meet this requirement)
  • Active Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education teaching license
  • Relevant licensure endorsement(s): DAPE, ASD, DCD, EBD, or ABS as applicable to the specific assignment
  • Deep understanding of individualized instruction and IEP development
  • Strong commitment to collaboration and inclusive classroom practices

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized instruction in accordance with students’ IEP goals
  • Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to stakeholders
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development related to Special Education frameworks
