Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students in self-contained classrooms on a part-time contract basis. This role offers flexibility with your choice of schedule—either mornings from Monday to Friday or a blended option featuring extended hours on select days. You'll play a crucial role for the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program, collaborating with dedicated full-time paraeducators and occasionally serving as a float sub when needed.

You will conduct instruction, facilitate paperwork or meetings on designated days, and help ensure students receive the individualized attention they deserve within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Tier 4 Early Childhood Special Education License
• Previous experience in special education or self-contained classroom settings
• Strong communication and organization skills, especially for paperwork and meetings
• Adaptable and collaborative attitude, open to serving as a float substitute within the ECSE program
• Passion for fostering development and growth in preschool- and early-elementary-aged children

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and manage a self-contained ECSE classroom in alignment with IEP goals
• Coordinate with paraeducators to meet students' academic, social, and emotional needs
• Complete required paperwork and participate in meetings on full scheduled days
• Provide support as a float sub within the program when needed
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborate regularly with families, related service staff, and administration
