Special Education Teacher | Andover, Minnesota

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting a cluster classroom in a welcoming elementary setting near Andover, MN. This role offers a chance to make a real impact on students’ lives during an assignment from November 1, 2026, through February 15, 2027. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team, including three paraprofessionals, to create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment for approximately ten students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching credentials
• Previous experience in a center-based DCD (Developmental Cognitive Disabilities) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom
• Strong teamwork skills for collaboration with classroom staff
• Ability to develop and implement individualized educational programs
• Excellent communication and organization abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction and daily programming for a caseload of 10 students in a highly supportive cluster classroom
• Work closely with paraprofessionals and related service providers to meet each student’s academic, behavioral, and social needs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and IEP implementation
• Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment
• Provide structure and adapt lessons to ensure student participation and engagement
• Communicate regularly with families and support staff

This assignment is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 7:20 AM to 3:20 PM, ensuring consistent support and routine for students. The role is in-person with no hybrid or virtual options.
