Key Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (Tier 1 and 2 accepted; Tier 3 or 4 highly preferred)
  • Licensure in Emotional or Behavioral Disorders (EBD) required
  • Experience working with elementary-age students in special education settings
  • Strong skills in developing and adapting IEPs, collaborating with colleagues, and supporting diverse student needs
  • Dedicated to inclusive, positive, and safe classroom practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork abilities

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted instruction and behavioral supports for approximately 11 elementary students (enrollment may vary) in a center-based program
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to foster student growth
  • Utilize de-escalation and social-emotional learning strategies to support students with emotional or behavioral challenges
  • Maintain accurate recordkeeping, data collection, and progress monitoring
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities as required
