Special Ed Teacher | Angels Camp, California

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe classroom settings at an elementary school located in Angels Camp, CA. This contract position is for the current school year and involves working with students who have primary and emotional disabilities within a structured Nexus Program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to students in 2nd through 4th grades, adapting teaching methods to meet individual educational needs.
• Manage a classroom consisting of 2 to 8 students, with a maximum capacity of 10.
• Collaborate closely with three paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom to support student engagement and progress.
• Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with special education standards and protocols.
• Monitor and assess student development, adjusting instructional strategies to promote academic and social growth.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience teaching special education students within Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe settings.
• Familiarity with addressing primary and emotional disabilities.
• Ability to engage effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
