As a valued team member, you’ll collaborate with other educators to ensure that each child receives the support they deserve in a nurturing and structured Special Day Class (SDC) environment.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential appropriate for middle school level
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with moderate to severe disabilities
- Expertise in developing and implementing IEPs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with staff and families
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Previous experience in a self-contained special education setting preferred
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to middle school students in a moderate to severe SDC
- Develop individualized academic and behavioral plans
