A fulfilling opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder and applied skills instruction. This full-time, onsite contract role supports elementary students (K-6th) and is ideal for educators driven by making a direct impact. The position is based in a dynamic academic setting and offers the possibility of extension or permanent hire following the current school year. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring consistent hours and work-life balance.

Your main focus will be delivering high-quality classroom and individualized support to a caseload primarily comprising students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and varying learning needs. Bringing specialized knowledge in Autism and either mild or intense intervention licensure will ensure student progress and a positive educational environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to students with ASD and learning disabilities
  • Adapt teaching strategies to various abilities, using data-driven interventions
  • Create a welcoming classroom that encourages academic and social success
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Engage families as key partners in student achievement
  • Maintain accurate documentation for IEPs, progress reports, and compliance

Desired qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher license with Mild or Intense Intervention endorsement
  • Experience working with elementary-age students with Autism and applied skills needs
  • Knowledge of best practices in inclusive and differentiated instruction
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
