Make a difference in early childhood education by providing specialized support as an Early Interventionist. This contract opportunity (approximately 20 hours weekly) focuses on delivering targeted instruction and homebound services to students who need it most. Based near Angola, LA, you’ll partner with families and education teams to foster communication, social, and academic growth in young learners.

Ideal candidates have experience as a Special Education Teacher or possess a Speech-Language Pathologist credential with an early intervention certification. You’ll work directly with students and their caregivers, ensuring personalized learning plans address developmental goals.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher or SLP with early intervention credentials
  • Experience in early childhood or special education settings
  • Knowledge of strategies for differentiated instruction and progress monitoring
  • Familiarity with homebound instruction and family-centered service delivery
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with various educational professionals and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide early intervention and specialized instruction in-home or in community settings
  • Conduct assessments to determine student needs and develop tailored educational plans
  • Design and implement individualized strategies for language, cognitive, and social-emotional development
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians and the educational team on progress and strategies
  • Document services, maintain records, and adhere to all applicable special education guidelines
  • Adapt materials and approaches to suit each child’s unique needs
