Desired Qualifications:
- Current Michigan teaching certification with a valid Special Education endorsement (please provide certification with your application)
- Experience teaching in elementary, middle, or high school special education settings preferred
- Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs, behavior intervention plans, and differentiated instruction
- Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration and advocacy
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom culture
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, individualized lessons to meet each student’s needs within your assigned caseload
- Monitor student growth, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Collaborate daily with paraeducators, therapists, classroom teachers, and family members
- Participate in IEP meetings, student assessments, and ongoing professional development
- Promote social, emotional, and academic growth for all students under your guidance
