Empower students and make a significant impact by supporting a school district in need of a skilled Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide individualized instruction and support students in an onsite middle school resource room.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement
- Prior experience working with middle school students and diverse learning needs
- Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in education
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized instruction and support in a middle school resource room
- Implement and modify instruction based on student IEP goals and learning needs
- Adapt curriculum and utilize specialized instructional strategies
- Collect, monitor, and document student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in meetings, professional development, and relevant training sessions
