Special Education Teacher

Empower students and make a significant impact by supporting a school district in need of a skilled Special Education Teacher. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to provide individualized instruction and support students in an onsite middle school resource room.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid Michigan teaching license with Special Education endorsement
• Prior experience working with middle school students and diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in education

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized instruction and support in a middle school resource room
• Implement and modify instruction based on student IEP goals and learning needs
• Adapt curriculum and utilize specialized instructional strategies
• Collect, monitor, and document student progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and relevant training sessions
