Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential with Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities endorsement
  • Proven experience in special education, particularly supporting intensive needs (tier 3 or 4)
  • Flexibility to work across a wide age/grade range in special programs
  • Familiarity with resource and RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) models is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to on-site instruction—remote/virtual options are not available

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct special education services and tailored instruction to assigned caseloads
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student success
  • Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal Special Education regulations
  • Adapt instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of each student
  • Actively participate in school meetings, trainings, and professional development

  • Eight positions available—3 at a middle school (2 resource, 1 RISE), others at varying school sites
  • Engage with a supportive school community dedicated to student growth
  • Consistent weekday schedule, August 2026 through May 2027 (35 hrs/week)
