Special Education Teacher - Anoka, Minnesota

This full-time, contract teaching role is designed for dedicated educators passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment. Beginning in late August 2026 and extending through early June 2027, you’ll engage daily with students to help them reach their fullest potential. The position is based in a supportive school community with resources geared towards student and teacher success.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
• Experience in Special Education, particularly with students who have developmental and cognitive delays
• Proven ability to adapt curriculum and instruction based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for working closely with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Commitment to creating a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom culture

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support for elementary students in the DCD Centerbase program
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to foster student engagement and learning
• Collaborate with paraeducators, therapists, and other staff to maximize student outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in IEP meetings and conferences
• Create a classroom environment that celebrates diversity and promotes social and emotional growth
