Special Education Teacher | Anoka, Minnesota

Take on a meaningful contract role supporting elementary students with developmental cognitive disabilities. This onsite position focuses on providing individualized education within a dedicated, resource-rich environment. You’ll work closely with a small group—typically a caseload of nine students—making a real impact in their growth and daily learning.

This assignment begins in late August and extends through early June, aligning with the academic calendar. The weekly schedule runs Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week with a half-hour unpaid lunch period. Working in an engaging, collaborative atmosphere, you will be directly involved in instruction, progress monitoring, and the implementation of tailored educational plans.

Desired Qualifications:
• Current Minnesota teaching license; Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education certification is required
• Experience or strong interest in working with students with developmental cognitive disabilities
• Knowledge of best practices for Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Skilled in differentiating instruction based on student needs
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for partnering with families and staff
• Organizational abilities to maintain thorough student records
